Guo also stated, “Inspired by the virtual tours of China available online, an increasing number of foreign friends are now eager to have a first – hand experience of the country and embark on an impromptu journey to China.”
To illustrate the effectiveness of the visa – free policy, Guo took Beijing as an example. Since December 17, 2024, the ports in Beijing have handled over 1.3 million inbound and outbound trips by foreigners. Among them, more than 310,000 trips were made under the visa – free policy, showing a remarkable 150 percent year – on – year increase compared to the period before the policy implementation.
